Winokur Photography is a small film and still photography production company located in the center of San Francisco’s creative district, The Mission. Michael Winokur started the company in 2000 to apply his creativity and experience in documentary journalism to the story-telling needs of today’s companies. He realized that the time was rite for commercial and advertising photography to begin adopting the more dynamic styles of fine-art and editorial photography. Since his background was photographing people in portrait, and news scenarios, lifestyle and portraiture became the focus of his business. Since then he has become known as a resource for casting and photographing real and interesting people for clients who want to discuss and promote authentic brands. He also applies this style of work to film making and can deliver integrated campaigns to clients seeking work that includes still and video components.
